About
Mission
Swiss Enduring Prosperity Lighthouse
The Swiss Impact & Prosperity Initiative (SIPI) is reimagining success for Switzerland. Moving beyond GDP and traditional business metrics, SIPI advances a holistic framework for measurement and decision-making—aligning economic vitality with societal well-being, ecological integrity, and long-term resilience.
SIPI's vision is a Switzerland where prosperity is defined and driven by resilient communities, healthy ecosystems, and inclusive opportunities that generate enduring value.
Mission
Swiss Enduring Prosperity Lighthouse
Rooted in B Lab’s ethos of using business as a force for good, SIPI both reflects and complements the broader “Beyond GDP” and “Beyond Profit” movements. Building on B Lab (Switzerland) Foundation’s deep integration into the Swiss economic ecosystem, SIPI promotes a multi-scale approach to enduring prosperity.
With a pragmatic and agile mindset, SIPI scales best practices and pioneers next practices–positioning Switzerland to leapfrog traditional economic models and lead in building regenerative systems.

The Approach
SIPI drives its north-star vision through a structured approach built on three strategic pillars and four strategic enablers. Together, these seven components form a dynamic system that powers implementation, learning, and adaptation for systems-level transformation.
Strategic Pillars
-
Stakeholder Engagement & Governance: A transparent, inclusive process to co-create and steward shared vision and action across sectors.
-
Prosperity Measurement & Monitoring: A unified approach for assessing natural, economic, human, and social capital using integrated, comparable metrics.
-
Decision Support Systems: An integrated suite of evidence-based playbooks and AI-driven.
The Strategic Enablers finance & innovation, policy & governance, technology & analytics, and education, media & culture play a transversal role.
The Framework
Embedded in the SIP approach, SIPI introduces the Enduring Prosperity Framework (EPF)—a next-generation, multi-capital approach for measuring and shaping prosperity. It brings together what we measure (the capitals) and how we interpret and drive them (the guiding principles), bridging science, policy, business, and civil society through shared impact metrics, collaborative tools, and a unified governance framework.

Organisational Stewardship
SIPI's success depends on effective governance and coordination among a wide range of stakeholders. Governance is provided by four interrelated bodies with distinct and complementary responsibilities.
